What the Bitcoin network is doing

The latest block at the centre, and around it how the network is doing. This page starts with fixed demonstration data and asks you before it requests anything from anywhere.

Privacy

  • Nothing leaves this page until you choose a live source and agree. Your choice is not remembered: the next visit starts with demonstration data again.
  • Requests go only to the source you chose, without cookies or referrer. This website adds no analytics or tracking.
  • mempool.space sees your IP address when your browser asks it for data. The website's own node, when available, is read by this site's server, so no third party is involved.
  • Automatic refresh is off unless you switch it on, and pauses while the tab is hidden.

What these numbers can and cannot tell

  • The mempool shown is one node's: every node has its own, and there is no global mempool.
  • Fee estimates are estimates, not guarantees: the next blocks may need more or less.
  • The hash rate is always estimated, from difficulty and block times; nobody observes it directly.
  • Different sources can report slightly different values, and block timestamps come from miners' clocks.
