The Bitcoin knowledge universe

How the ideas behind Bitcoin connect. Every concept is a stud on one instrument plate: foundations near the core, ideas that build on them further out, grouped into five regions. Pick a concept to see what it rests on, what it leads to, and which machine teaches it.

The same map as a list, by region and from foundations outwards. Every concept here can be chosen with the keyboard.

Selected concept, what it builds on, and concepts you have marked as understood (orange ring)

45 concepts and 20 models, generated from the project's concept graph and model registry; no link is drawn by hand. A link means "builds on" (a prerequisite in the concept graph). Rings count the longest chain of prerequisites below a concept. A concept's region is the collection of the first model that teaches it, or else the first model that assumes it; one concept is not yet covered by any model and sits apart with a dashed ring. Easy shows the essential concepts: each model's headline concept, concepts used by beginner models, and concepts at least three others build on. Progress comes only from outside (the website or ?understood= in the address); this page never guesses it.
